Re: Bloating

No, I am the “difficult case” that failed 6 treatments so H. Pylori is still not eradicated yet. I was scheduled for re-doing endoscopy for antibiotics sensitivity on the 31st of December but I had a stupid accident on 29th of December and broke two vertebrae in a fall. So it was recommended that I ...

Bloating

H. Pylori is causing extreme bloating, and the discomfort is awful as I had a recent spinal injury and the tightness extends around my injury. The bloating makes me look 8 mos pregnant. What can reduce this abdominal distension? What is happening internally that causes the bloating from H. Pylori? T...

Re: Diagnosed with h pylori

When the inflammation is too much, the gastric cells start to die off. If the mucous producing cells are damaged, then less mucous protection on the stomach wall, acid start digesting your own stomach, that’s how you get ulcer. When the acid producing cells are damaged, then no acid production, mor...

Re: Question for Helico expert

I just researched this and here is the link: https://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/allergy-pill/11015208 I have too many allergies which makes my life even more difficult. Sublingual immunotherapy has not benefited me yet but it has been a relatively short time that I've been trying it. I would love to be...

Re: Questions on PPIs, risk, and stress

Thank you that was incredibly helpful and informative!

I am scheduled to redo the endoscopy next week for antibiotic susceptibility testing. I will only go if it is confirmed my insurance will cover the procedure so soon after the last one that was a month ago.

I will keep you posted!

Questions on PPIs, risk, and stress

Dear Helico expert, In the news this past year there have been many articles revolving around the risks of long-term PPI use. Hypothetically speaking, if someone (like me or anyone else here) were infected with an uncurable H. Pylori strain, is it better for that person to go on long-term PPI use wh...

Re: H pylori and my story

I must say, there are so many strange symptoms that this bacteria causes. Bottom line is, (at least for me) if weird symptoms disappear at treatment then come back after treatment then treatment failed. I’ve been through treatment so many times I can tell just by those weird symptoms sometimes as so...

Re: Upcoming H.Pylori treatment #7 - question on serum ferritin and sensitivity testing

i would say 50% of those extreme case works. we are not entirely sure why. How long to wait? perhaps 6 months? I dont know. This is uncharted territory. Whoa, that’s a lot of antibiotics! When is such drastic method warranted? When it turns into intestinal metaplasia? What happens to the 50% that d...
