Eating between meals with Pylera???

The most popular treatments consist of two antibiotics (one of which is usually clarithromycin) plus a strong acid blocker such as omeprazole (PriLosec, Nexium, Somac, Zoton, etc.). Treatment is for 7-10 days. Cure rate is about 85%

Eating between meals with Pylera???

Post by Carlasmom » Thu May 28, 2015 11:40 pm

I am on day 6 of Pylera. I have been eating between meals with Pylera. Since they tell you to take it after meals I thought it would not be a problem; now I am alarmed that I have taken this medication for naught. The prevpack did not work for me. I had to pay $300 out of pocked for this medication. Any information on this? I am really upset; and was thinking of taking the rest on an empty stomach on each day I have left.

based on our observation, we did not see any difference between taking medication between or after meal. So dont be too worried about it. stay positive and have faith.
:)

remember to get a follow up breath test to confirm your H. pylori eradication.
