3rd therapy ongoing still positive

After first line treatment, various "second line" treatments can be used. The policy for H.pylori is: Make sure the infection is real (breath test for follow-up). Always give a high dose of PPI (acid blocker) when using amoxicillin. In the second treatment, give a different drug in place of clarithromycin.

I guess I can explain it this way.

The four stages of severity.
1st stage, gastritis inflammation
2nd stage, metaplasia
3rd stage, atrophic gastritis
4th stage, gastric cancer

So you are still at the very beginning stage and should have H. pylori eradicated before your condition worsen. But you must not panic. Because each stage would probably take years to develop.

How are u@naninavi

Any headway with your treatment as I am faced with same situation as you are facing now.

The last endoscopy result you had is just like a replica of mine.
What is the way to go.

Hi Helico_expert,

My last stool test was negative. Still have symptoms through, not sure if heartburn, maybe it is diet related.

Thanks for your guidance.
